Kenneth Daryl Swank

Kenneth D. Swank, age 69 of Centerton, Ark., died September 11, 2021, at Northwest Hospital in Bentonville. He was born September 13, 1951, in Bentonville, Ark., to Leslie Donald Swank Sr. and Anna Lee Skaggs. To know Kenneth was to love him. First impressions might leave you thinking he was cantankerous, but you would soon realize he had a heart of gold and would do anything to help anyone, never expecting anything in return. Kenneth was a gun enthusiast and love to educate people on them and was extremely passionate about youth shooting being the main reason he started Lonesome Oak Gun Range. He was a successful businessman, who conducted most of his business on a handshake and stood behind that being truly a man of his word. He had his pilot's license and loved aviation, constantly dreaming of the plane he would buy when he "retired". In the summertime he spent lots of time in his garden, a top priority with hardly a weed in it. He loved nothing more than having fresh produce to enjoy and share with all his friends and family. Bicycling was a past time he thoroughly enjoyed on a beautiful day. After hard day's work you could find him grilling up a good hamburger or steak and enjoying an ice cold beer while listening to some good jazz or blues. On Sundays, you could find him attending church at Get Connected in Centerton, Arkansas. Kenneth will truly be missed by so many people. Preceded in death by his father, Leslie Donald Swank Sr.; his mother, Anna Lee Skaggs; brother, Leslie Donald Swank, Jr.; sister, Cleta Norton; and his most loved dog, Gomez. He is survived by his one and only child, Thomas Matt Swank of Centerton, Arkansas; two granddaughters; brother, Franklin (Marilyn) of Gravette, Arkansas; ex-wife, Kelli Swank of Bella Vista, Ark.; close friend, Lindsey Holly and family of Jay, Oklahoma; and lots of friends that were considered family. There will be a celebration of his life at his farm located at 9973 N. Hwy 279 Centerton, Ark. 72719 on October 9th at 12 o'clock. Lunch will be provided, and all are welcome to come and pay their respects. Condolences may be expressed at www.funeralmation.com.
