He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Thornton and Angela Hankins Parette, (Randy); one brother, Ben Hankins (Carmel); and the great joys of his life, his three grandchildren, Zach Thornton (Maddie); Craig Thornton (Courtney); and Tori Thornton (Tanner); five great-grandchildren, Ava, Ashlyn, Harper, Finley, and Rosie; two nephews, Tommy Davenport and Jared Tackett; four nieces, Deborah Baxter, Vicki Evans, Janet O'Neal, and Sherry Tunstill; several great-nieces, -nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be on Friday December 2, 2022, from 10-11 a.m. at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship in Elkins, Ark. The service will begin at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at Patrick Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel. There will be fellowship at the Church after the graveside service. The family would like to thank everyone for their continued support, thoughts, prayers, and visits over the past several years. And to the medical staff that helped to keep him the best he could be for the past 12 1/2 years. With our deepest gratitude we thank you.
