Mike Costello

Mike Costello, age 71 of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022. Born Joseph Michael Costello on November 21, 1951 at Georgetown, S.C., he was a son of the late Hugh Patrick Costello, Jr., and Margherita Victoria Marus Costello. He and his family moved to Pine Bluff in 1958. Mike served in the United States Navy and was a graduate of Subiaco Academy. Mike was devoted to his church and attended both St. Joseph and St. Peter Catholic Churches in Pine Bluff. He also enjoyed playing golf. He retired from International Paper Company/Evergreen Packaging as a maintenance supervisor after 48 ½ years of service. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by three brothers, Pat Costello, Paul Costello, and Terry Costello; and an infant sister, Margherita Ester Costello. Survivors include two sons, Michael Costello (April) and Bryce Costello; two brothers, Danny Costello (Brenda) and Tim Costello (Sandy); four grandchildren, Griffin Penny, Grace Ann Penny, Sadie Caroline Costello, and Ivy Costello; and a great-grandchild, Sutton Robinson. Mike's funeral mass will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2022, 10:30 a.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Andreas Kedati, Father Anil Thomas, and Deacon Gary Boccarosa officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery in North Little Rock by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. A vigil service will be held Monday, 5:30 p.m., at Robinson's.
