ROY RAYMOND BLAZER, age 89, of Jacksonville, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022. Roy was born on Sunday, March 12, 1933 in Little Rock, to the late Coy and Alma Hodges Blazer. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a long- time employee of the AMF bicycle factory and later worked for the Carrier corporation. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; children, Brett and Angela Blazer and a son-in-law, Donney Ballard.
Roy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nadine Taylor Blazer; children, Donna Ballard of Cabot, Rita Ward of Florida; siblings, Ellen Gordon of Seminole, Fla., Pierce Blazer of Perryville; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Ballard, Raymond Ballard, Maggie Ward, Alex Ward, Vanessa Medlin; great-grandchildren, Beau and Charley Ballard and his fur baby, Angel.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Online guestbook, www.mooresjacksonvillefuneralhome.com.
