TWILA BURRIS, age 97, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was born in Little Rock May 23, 1925 to Stanley Morton Copeland and Lillie Clark Copeland. Twila worked as the church secretary at South Highland Church of Christ, then Pulaski Heights Church of Christ, then later Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ and was part of the Associated Women for Harding Twila loved sewing and visited her great-grandchildren on a weekly basis.
Those left to cherish her memory is son James Randolph Burris (Kathy) daughter Sharon Burris Chandler (Winston Jr.); grandchildren: Ashley Chandler Philbrick (Scott), Trey Chandler (Bonnie), Erin Chandler Conner (Jeff), Adam Franklin Chandler (Ashley); great-grandchildren: Alex Philbrick (Tara), Lilly Kate Philbrick, Madeline Heinz (Connor), Will Philbrick (Emma), Wyatt Chandler, Chandler Conner, Emma Kathleen Conner, Win Conner, Brady Chandler, and Janie Chandler.
She is preceded in death by her parents as well as husband James Franklin Burris, married June 5,1943, they were married for 50 years.
A funeral service for Twila will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 10 a.m., at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, 10900 N. Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72212. Following the funeral service will be a burial at 11:30 a.m., at Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Springer Blvd, Little Rock, Ark., 72206.
