Alta Faye Donnohue Brannan

Huntsville, AR, 1934 - 2022

Alta Faye Donnohue Brannan, 88, of Huntsville, Ark., passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022, in a local hospital. She was born October 21, 1934, near Huntsville, Ark., to the late Richard Woodrow and Viva Estell (Litterell) Donnohue. Alta Faye married Jack Edward Brannan Saturday, February 9, 1952, near Huntsville; and together they were parents to two sons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, parents and stepfather, Clyde "Pop" Burrell, sister, Peggy Mae Geheb, brother, Harold "Max" Donnohue, and one grandchild, Justin R. Crumbliss. Faye loved spending time in her garden and green house. She also was quite accomplished with her handcrafts including ceramics, painting and arranging of both fresh and dried flowers. She retired from the printing business at Standard Register where she worked for more than a decade. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Janet Brannan of Huntsville, and Steve and Linda Brannan of Wesley; four grandchildren, Charissa and Shane Brannan-Clark of Huntsville, Melissa and Daniel Brannan-Layne of Pineville, Mo.; Stephen and Jodean Brannan of Rogers; and Cassandra and Scott Brannan-Hatfield of Carrolton, Texas; 10 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, James R. and Patsy Donnohue, one sister and brother-in-law, Naomi and Gary Morley, sister, Joy Huff, sister-in-law Shirley Donnohue, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2022, at Brashears Funeral Home to celebrate the life of Alta Faye as well as her being with God and her husband in heaven. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Huntsville Assembly of God with Rusty Blann and Alex Foster officiating. Pallbearers will be Jim Richard (JR) Donnohue, Mike McCoy, Tommy Thomas, Roger Burnett, Brad Holt, Greg Holt and Reese Ramsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Marilyn Rodgers, Betty McKee, Reba Sloan, Kelly Hicks, and Wayne and Charlotte Holt. Interment will immediately follow services at Huntsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alta Faye's memory may be made to the Jack and Faye Brannan Benevolence Fund, c/o Evangel Assembly of God, PO Box 826, Huntsville, Ark., 72740. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
