Evelyn Townsend Andres, 80, died on December 5, 2022. Her beautiful body was released from this earth as she was surrounded by her loving family. Affectionately known as "The Queen", Evelyn was an entrepreneur, homemaker and loving wife. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, riding bicycles, and looking for her next adventure. Her legacy of kindness, laughter, and mischief lives on. Evelyn was born on November 23, 1942, in Texarkana, Ark., to Vera and Woodrow (W.T.) Pedron. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Brenda Kay Pedron all from Texarkana. She was also preceded in death by Allen Townsend, whom she married at an early age. Together they had three children, Mark, Lisa and Kristi and created a beautiful life full of love and adventure. God blessed her again, years later, when she married Mason Andres. The blending of their two families brought joy and happiness to all. She is survived by her husband, John Mason Andres; and three children; son, Allen Mark Townsend (Jennifer) of Texarkana; daughters, Lisa Wright (Edward) of Little Rock, Ark., and Kristi Floyd (Walter), of Ft. Worth, Texas. Grandchildren include, A. J. Townsend, JuliAnna Townsend, Katherine Woodson, Ellen Woodson, Walker Floyd (Brittany) and Luke Floyd; two great-granddaughter namesakes, Evelyn Margret Naumann and Lilly Ruth Townsend. She is also survived by her sister, Wanda Sandlin and her husband, Jerry along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her heart was also blessed by loving Mason's children, grandchildren and great-grandchild; Lynn Sullivan (Mike) and Jay Andres (Laurie), grandchildren, Alex Sullivan, Rachel Sullivan, Barrett Andres, Ryann Nava (Miguel), Britt Bitar (Ellis) and son Callum Bitar and Devan Andres. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texarkana, Texas. The family will host a Celebration of Life reception at 5 Wood Place, 3 p.m., following visitation. There will be a private burial service Monday. The family would like to thank Evelyn's caregivers and Dierksen Hospice of Texarkana for their support and care. The family requests that a donation be made to your favorite charity, in lieu of flowers.
