Alta Marie Snider

Alta Marie Guess Snider of Carlisle, widow of Lloyd E. Snider, passed from this life on Dec. 4, 2022, one month before her 101st birthday. Alta is survived by five children, Troy Snider, Wayne Snider of Hazen, Linda Snider of Normal, Illinois, Marie MaGaughey and husband, Gary of Stuttgart and Danny snider of Carlisle; grandchildren, Jerry Snider and wife, Becky, Brenda Snider, Kevin McGaughey and wife, Kim, Laura Pagan and husband, Ed, Leslie Darnell and husband, Andy and Dan Snider and 13 great-grandchildren. Alta retired from Remington Arms in 1985 after 14 years of service. Prior to her work at Remington Arms, she worked for Van Heusen in Brinkley and Hazen. Alta took great pride in her yard, and the people of Carlisle were always commenting on how neat it was. Funeral services were held 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022 at the Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Hazen. Interment was in the Carlisle Cemetery. Online obituary at www.westbrookfuneralhomehazen.com
