Louis Marion Scarbrough

Louis Marion Scarbrough of Fayetteville, Ark. age 92 passed away Dec. 7, 2022. Louis was born Feb. 1, 1930, in Le Mesa,Calif. to Marion Wesley Scarbrough and Laura Ruth Scarbrough. Louis graduated High School in Caney, Kan. in 1949, he then studied at John Brown University. He worked in construction for most of his life. Louis was a bible teacher and a minister in the latter part of his life. June 8, 2000 he became an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene ministering until 2013 retiring to Fayetteville, Ark. Louis enjoyed traveling, sports, and religion. He pastored at Cache First Church in Cash, Okla. and Woodson Park Church of the Nazarene in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Wesley Scarbrough, his daughter Angela Marie Morris, and his wife Velma Scarbrough. Louis is survived by his sister Dona Mildred Robinson of Bartlesville, Okla., his son Dale Scarbrough of Fayetteville, Ark., his son Irving Scarbrough of Springdale, Ark., his son Allen Scarbrough of Tontitown, Ark., his daughter Sharon Ruth Eifler of Bartlesville, Okla., nine grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022 in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Ark. 72762 with Pastor Matt Asetmey officiating.
