Sharon Loraine Crook

Sharon Loraine (Bartle) Crook, age 73 of Sheridan, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, in a Little Rock hospital. The daughter of Francois Cecil and Edith May (Carney) Bartle was born June 24, 1949, in Seattle, Washington. Sharon and her family moved to Arkansas in 1961. She loved to explore the woods with her younger sister. Sharon was the valedictorian of her graduating class. Sharon earned a bachelor's degree in English from Arkansas Technical College. She married in November 1970. She and David raised their children in Fort Smith, Ark., where Sharon resided until 2015, when she moved to Bryant, Ark. In her last years, Sharon spent her quiet time reading, watching tv, and solving puzzles in books or on the computer. She considered good coffee an important part of each day. She treasured the time she could spend with family. She will be greatly missed. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Eugene Crook; her brothers William Daniel Bartle, John Edward Bartle, David Keith Bartle, and her sister Katherine Marie Hoem. Sharon is survived by her children David Andrew Crook of Tulsa, Okla. and Mary Frances (Crook) Forst of Alexander, Ark. and grandchildren Jacob Daniel Forst, William McKinley Crook and Samuel Ryan Forst. She is also survived by her sisters Beverly Ann Shirley, Mary Alice Freeman, and Karen Sue Bartle; one brother Kenneth Robert Bartle and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
