Janice Bass Meisner

Janice Bass Meisner, 79 of Springdale passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022, at her home. She was born November 16, 1943, in Columbia, Miss., to June Forrest Bass and Cora Mae Sinclair Bass. Janice was a loving, caring wife, mother and yaya! She loved all children, especially her grandchildren and loved being a yaya. She taught Special Education in the Little Rock school district after marrying Don in 1966. After adopting three children, they made their home in Russellville, Ark., for many years. She volunteered any chance she could, serving at the schools and All Saint's Episcopal Church. She was also part owner of The Natural Gourmet and helped Don, by acting as CEO of his company, Eagle Packaging during their time in Russellville. Then eventually moving to NWA where she was a member of St. Gabriel's Anglican Church in Springdale and also the leader of her bible study group appropriately named The Crowned Angels. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Donald G. Meisner, Jr., of the home; one son, Donald G. Meisner, III and wife Amber of Farmington; two daughters, Courtney Meisner Gwaltney and husband Bill of Fayetteville and Ashley Toland and husband Channon of Mobile, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Griffin Smith, Jackson Smith, Landon Gwaltney, Cora Toland, Addie Mae Toland, Zoey Meisner and Eli Meisner. Memorial service will be Monday, December 19, 2022, at 11 a.m., at St. Gabriel Anglician Church in Springdale with Father Jon Slaven officiating.
