Linda L Smith

Linda Louise (Hopkins) Smith, was born on May 24, 1941. She was born and raised in Benton, Ark., by her parents, William "Bill" Hopkins and Madeline "Auline" (Cash) Hopkins and had two siblings, David Hopkins and Billie June Carson. In 1960, Linda married her true love, Gerald Smith. She loved animals of all kinds and was an active member at First Baptist Church of Benton where she cherished her time in the choir. She was a stunning, fashionable woman with a passion for jewelry and had a beautiful soul. Throughout her life she gained a big family that filled her heart with love and joy. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and C.Y. Sullivan. Linda is survived by her husband, Gerald, daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Russell Gaines along with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. On December 12th at 11:00 p.m. Linda was called home to Heaven at the age of 81. A visitation is scheduled at noon and the funeral service to begin at 1 p.m., on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton, Ark. Following the service, we will lay her to rest at New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton, Ark. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Linda L. Smith.
