Catrice Lynette DeWitt, 49, of Conway, Ark., God gave Catrice Lynette DeWitt her first breath September 21, 1973, in Dermott, Ark. God entrusted her into the care of Leroy Martin and Velma Burks. Catrice would light up the room with her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She was one of the most loving, thoughtful, beautiful persons blessed to the world by God. Catrice accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Dermott, Ark. Catrice's love of Christ was shown through her actions in how she treated everyone she met. She was a ray of light that shined brightly and was blessed with the gift of being an inspiration to those she encountered. Catrice graduated from Dermott High School, attended UCA, and ultimately earned a doctorate in Pharmacy from UAMS in 1999. From the marital union with John Kelley, a beautiful daughter, Jayla Lakysse, was welcomed into the world. Catrice nurtured her and Jayla blossomed into the smart, beautiful young woman that she is today. In 2006, Catrice started a new chapter in her life with Jan Carlos DeWitt. That courtship never ended and led to sacred matrimony in 2009. They became inseparable and connected through laughter, shared experiences, and beautiful memories. While everyone wishes they had more time with Catrice, she was called to her Heavenly Home December 15, 2022, forever resting with our Eternal Father.
