Agatha Joy Gasaway

Agatha Joy (Head) Gasaway went home to be with her Lord on December 19, 2022. Agatha was born April 7, 1930 in Tensas Parish, La., to Chester Newton Head and Flossie Ruth (Martin) Head. Agatha was an elementary school teacher for many years and her love was for quilting, reading and gardening, she was an excellent cook and the yellow rose was her favorite. During her teaching years she had a love for the children and went above and beyond to help and mentor the children. She always went that extra mile. Mrs. Agatha was very active in her church and with the Eastern Star. Agatha was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Lonnie Theo Gasaway, her parents: Chester and Flossie, brother: Drexel Ed Head, brother Chester Newton Head Jr., brother's Jerry and Terry Head and her sister Hattabelle Lee. Agatha is survived by her daughter Gwyned Kaye Gasaway, her son Greg Gasaway both of Petit Jean, Ark., her sister Lynne Moore of West Monroe, La., her sister Daphney (Paul) Higginbotham of Mt. View, Ark., and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Services will be held Thursday December 22, 2022, at 11 a.m., in the chapel at Union Missionary Baptist Church, formerly Bob Neal's Funeral Home. 5 Bruce Street, Morrilton, Ark., 72110.
