Floyd Louis "Butch" Carraro, 79, of North Little Rock went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 20, 2022. He was born on July 13, 1943, to Louis and Val Carraro in St. Louis, Mo. For many years he was a member of All Souls Church in Scott, Ark., and most recently attended New Life Church in Maumelle. Butch served in the Navy from 1961-1964. He started his career with Southwestern Bell in 1965 and wore many hats before retirement in September 2000. Butch, who was never content to sit still, was retired for one weekend before starting his second career as the "phone man" at Dassault Falcon Jet. A man of few words, but a devoted family man who cherished his wife, children and grandchildren. He was always there when you needed him. Awaiting him in Heaven are his parents; brother, Louis Jr.; mother-in-law, Alice Hicks. Remaining to celebrate his memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Dee; daughters, Karen (James) Brockway, Kelli Carraro, and Courtney Bowie; grandchildren, Kristie Mills, Jordan and Kelsie Brockway, Alex and Kellan Wigginton, and Cortland Bowie; brothers, Henry Carraro, Peter (Gayle) Carraro, Tommy Carraro; sisters, Martha (Troy) Starks and Marilyn Wirzfeld; brother-in-law, Chuck (Sara) Hicks; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude for the care Butch received from all his doctors and nurses at CARTI. Please consider a donation to Little Rock Compassion Center, CARTI, or your favorite charity in lieu of flowers. Family will receive visitors at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 27, from 1-2 p.m. Service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
