Harold Dean Roberts

Harold Dean Roberts passed away on December 14, 2022, at the age of 87. He was born in Vilonia, Ark. He married his loving wife Billie Lea Wells on May 18, 1957. He retired as a MSgt from 20 years in the Air Force in 1973. He served in Texas, Tripoli, Africa, LRAFB, AR, NH, Vietnam July 1964-65, LA, Philippines, and Dover, Del. He retired after 21 years from the US Postal Service in 1995. Survived by: Wife, Billie, of 65 years. Two sons: Larry Dean Roberts (Tracie), Kevin Lee Roberts (Dana). Six grandchildren: Ryan Roberts (Michelle), Haley Frey (Marshall), Laura Funk (Ronnie), Olivia Steinhauser (John), Aaron Roberts, and Natalie Roberts. Five great-grandchildren: Riley Roberts, Emery Roberts, Annie Frey, Houston Frey, and James Funk. Preceded in death by his father E. W. Roberts, mother Blanche Killough Roberts, brother Jerry Roberts, Whittier, Calif. Harold was a member of First Redeemer Baptist Church, Cumming, Ga. Some of his hobbies included golfing, gardening, hunting, and fishing. He loved to repair almost any item. He traveled all over the world to Alaska, Hawaii, Philippines, Caribbean, Bermuda and Bahamas, Canada, Netherlands, England, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, & Russia. Pallbearers: Larry, Kevin, Ryan, Aaron, John, and Ronnie. Honorary pallbearers: Marshall Frey. Golfers and owners of Hickory Creek Golf Couse, Jacksonville, Ark. A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 21, 2022, from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 11:00. Visitation and Funeral will be held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee, Cumming, Ga. Interment will be held at GA National Cemetery in Canton, Ga., on Thursday December 22, 2022, at 2:00.
