Robert Dailey Bethell

Dr. Robert Dailey Bethell (Bobby), 88, entered heaven on December 20,2022. He was born July 16, 1934, in Brinkley, Ark., to the late John Pinckney Bethell and Eloise Dailey Bethell. Bobby graduated from Des Arc High School in 1952. He attended college pursuing a degree in medicine and graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical School in 1963. He completed his residency at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Ark. During medical school he married his soulmate, Louise Snow, and they had a wonderful marriage for 61 years. They moved to Wynne, Ark., in 1970 where he practiced medicine at Wynne Medical Clinic for 29 years. When he wasn't serving his community as a physician, he loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Louise Snow Bethell of Wynne; three children, Lisa Simmons (David) of Greenbrier, Ark., Bob Bethell (Robin) of Wynne, Ak., Amy Keith (Kent) of Fayetteville, Ark., a brother, Dr. John Bethell (Margaret Ann) of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister, Ann Guess (Donald) of Des Arc, Ark. Eight grandchildren, Dailey Bethell (Amelia), Jacob Bethell, Riley Bethell, Anna Claire Bethell, Savannah Simmons, Madeline Simmons, Olivia Keith, and Sawyer Keith. He leaves behind many other family members and friends who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Bethell of Des Arc, Ark. Bobby is remembered and loved by so many because of his kindness, humility, gentleness, loyalty and most importantly his unwavering love for his family. He had a strong faith and loved the Lord. He attended Wynne Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne, Ark., from 11 a.m., to 1 p.m., on Friday, December 23, 2022. Interment service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Des Arc, Ark., immediately following the visitation. Memorials may be made to Wynne Baptist Church.
