Donald G. Welsh

DONALD G. WELSH, age 88 of Maumelle, Ark., passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born February 23, 1934, in North Little Rock to the late William H. Welsh and Mildred Cleo Douglas Welsh. Donald worked for IBM as a Field Engineer Specialist for 34 years. He loved gardening, sports and horse racing. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald Kip Welsh; brother, Larry Welsh and a sister, Mildred Pruss. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mavis A. Welsh of Maumelle, Ark.; daughter, Roxanne Harper (Wayne) of Pine Bluff, Ark.; grandchildren, Holly Chism (Kevin), Brandi Doke (Toby), Jordan Harper, Jason Kip Welsh (Summer) and great grandchildren, Kelsey Verser, Marissa Gonzales (Zack), Kyla Welsh and Alyssa Ammons. Visitation will be held Friday, 9-10 a.m., at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home in Little Rock. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., Burial will be held Friday at 2 p.m., at Elizabeth Hall Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Toby Doke, Kevin Chism, Tommy Pruss, Wayne Harper, Tim Carrig, Tim Welsh, Jason Welsh and Jordan Harper. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Burrows and Lynn "Willie" Pruss.
