PHYLLIS DIANNE WHITE of Little Rock, Ark., 63, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Dec. 20, 2022. A longtime faithful member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 908 S. Cross Street, Little Rock, Ark. A member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and a 44-year employee of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Brennan; sons, Philip (Amber) of Charlotte, N.C., Victor (Angelica) and Wilton; six grandchildren, Philip, Payton, Paislee, Jacob, Isabella, and Phyllis; father, Willie Young Jr. (Mena) of Atlanta, Ga.; second-father, Berry Anderson; mother-in-law, Rita C. White; siblings, Berrolyn (Warren) Harris of Arlington, Texas, and Barry (Tari) Anderson; brother-in-law, Brian White; sister-in-law, Denise White; nieces, Tamara Anderson of Arlington, Texas, Tanyelle (James) Hardman of Tulsa, Okla., Amiya Anderson, and Tamar Anderson; nephews, Terrance Davis of Arlington, Texas, and Charles (Nadia) Anderson of Chesapeake, Va.; along with a host of other relatives and devoted friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Anderson; grandparents, Willie Young Sr., Bernice Young, Aaron Rowland, and Eva Rowland; and niece, Torrie Anderson. Family Hour: Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, 6-8 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St., Little Rock, Ark. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated will host an Omega Omega tribute at 6-7 p.m., followed by the Family Hour at 7-8 p.m. A celebration of her life will be Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 901 Calhoun Street, Little Rock, Ark.
