Mrs. Annie Jane West Siefert, 89, of Camden, Ark., slipped away peacefully to her Heavenly Home on the evening of Jesus' birth, December 24, 2022. Ann was born on February 28, 1933, in Chunky, Miss. She was raised in Pine Bluff by Charles and Ida West. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Mark, James, and Gilmore West, and her husband of 48 years, Dr. Raleigh Gene Siefert. Ann was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Camden for over 65 years. She was a dedicated and gracious volunteer with the Ouachita County Hospital Auxiliary for over 20 years. Her welcoming presence at the information desk in the main lobby will be missed, but not forgotten. Ann was very independent – she enjoyed countless hours identifying numerous species of backyard migratory birds and reading 2-3 novels weekly. Ann loved growing her very own home-grown tomatoes and listening to Gospel music. Ann's legacies include one son, Mike Siefert and wife Karen of Texarkana; one daughter, Karen Siefert Davis and husband Steve of Orlando. Her five grandchildren are Jonathan Siefert, Nelson Davis, Bethany Ann Davis, Melody Siefert Newton, and Amy Davis. Her two nephews are Jim West of Hope, and Steve West of Mississippi. Her two great-grandchildren are Mia and Annie Siefert. In lieu of flowers, Ann kindly requested that memorial gifts be made to First Baptist Church Camden or Ouachita County Hospital. Visitation will be held at Proctor's Funeral Home in Camden on Wednesday, January 4 from 5-7 p.m. Her celebration of life will be at First Baptist Church Camden on Thursday, January 5 at noon. Burial to follow in Pine Bluff at 3:30 p.m. To sign the online guest register, visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com
