Julie Griffin Trimble

Julie Griffin Trimble, 63, of El Dorado, Ark., passed away on February 9, 2022, at her residence after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Griffin and Eugenia (Hosford) Griffin; and her husband, John Dyer Trimble V. Survivors are a daughter, Ann Elizabeth Trimble of El Dorado, Ark.; a son, John Dyer "Jack" Trimble VI, of Fayetteville, Ark.; brothers Tommy Griffin and Richard Griffin, both of El Dorado, Ark.; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Trimble Robinson (Ben) of El Dorado, Ark., and St. Joseph, La.; a brother-in-law, James Berry Trimble (Gita) of Bethesda, Mo.; along with her beloved nieces, nephew, and wonderful extended family on both the Trimble and Griffin sides. A lifelong resident of El Dorado, she graduated from El Dorado High School in 1977 and attended the University of Arkansas where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority and graduated in 1981. She was dance teacher for many years at Gayle's Dance Studio in El Dorado, a member of El Dorado Service League, a supporter of the South Arkansas Arts Center, and member of Pierian Club. Her most cherished organization was one that her mother-in-law, Robin Berry Trimble, gave so tirelessly towards, and that was Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Home in Monticello, Ark., where Julie served on the Board of Directors. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of El Dorado where she served as a deacon and worked lovingly as a "Martha" of the Presbyterian Women and a longtime member of the Mission Committee. She formerly was a member of the Chancel Choir and Bell Choir. Julie loved her church family dearly. The family wishes to thank Julie's loving caregivers who brought much comfort and compassion towards the end of her life: Sue Jenkins, Terry Jamerson, Willie Bridges, Joann Bright, Marie Frost and Lovie Hall. A graveside service will be held at 2pm Monday, Feburary 14, 2022, at Somerset Plantation Family Cemetery near Newellton, La., under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors with Rev. John Trimble Mabray officiating. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church of El Dorado with Rev. John Trimble Mabray and Rev.
