Ashley Claire Haynes

Ashley Claire Haynes (nee Schwarz) of Maumelle, Ark., died on January 12, 2022. She was 47. Born in Fort Smith, Ark., to Paul and Terry Schwarz, Ashley attended school in Fort Smith and graduated from Southside High School. She then attended the University of Arkansas, was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and graduated with a bachelor of arts in communication. After college, Ashley married Chris Haynes of Maumelle, Ark., in 1999. She had two children, Harper and Griffin, and worked as a yoga instructor at WLR Yoga, and as a model for the Sculp Agency, a Little Rock talent company. Ashley was an active member of her local community and was a volunteer with The One, Inc., which aided the homeless, and the Youth Home, Inc., a psychiatric treatment center for youth. When she wasn't taking care of her family or community, Ashley was an avid environmentalist and outdoor enthusiast: hiker, camper, and paddle boarder. Ashley is survived by her husband, Chris, and two children, Griffin and Harper, all of Maumelle, Ark.; brother, Christopher Schwarz of Covington, Ky.; sisters Robin Barhydt of Dallas, Texas, and Meredith Schwarz of Covington, Ky.; mothers-in-law, Barbara Haynes of Maumelle, and Nancy Haynes of Plano, Texas; father-in-law, Joe Haynes of Plano, Texas; brother-in-law, Mike Barhydt of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law, Lucy May of Covington, Ky.; sister-in-law, Kelly Bingham, and brother-in-law, Todd Bingham, of Texarkana, Texas. The family will host a memorial service scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, at The Wildwood Park for the Arts at 20919 Denny Road, Little Rock.
