James Willis Denton

James Willis Denton, 81, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022. He was born January 24, 1941 in Portland, Ore., to Eligah Samuals Denton and Gladys Faye Holden. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. James was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Virginia Louthan; and his son, Bryan Denton. He is survived by a brother, Bill Denton and his wife Beverly; a sister, Sharon Bryant; a son, Jesse Denton and wife Karen; a son, Richard Denton and wife Sharon; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was loved. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Beard's Chapel.
