Madelyn Schnebly, age 80, a longtime resident of Searcy, walked to her eternal home with Jesus, on Thursday, June 30, in Summerville, S.C. She was born on December 23, 1941, in Searcy, Ark., to the late Mildred and Oppie Young. She graduated from Bald Knob High School. She was a beloved wife, of 63 years, and mother to her three children. Her late husband James was a member of Pipeline Union 798. She loved her family dearly, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a true Southern lady, who won Mrs. Bald Knob, and always had a flair for fashion and interior design. She was a member of Delta Theta Phi sorority, which served the Searcy community. Madelyn was a beacon of love to everyone she encountered, and always put others before herself. Her grace, love, and beauty will live on through her children and grandchildren, as well as all of the other lives she touched. The visitation will be at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas from 6-8 p.m, on July 5, 2022. The service will take place at Trinity Episcopal Church in Searcy, on Wednesday, July 6 at 1 p.m. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at the White County Memorial Gardens. Madelyn is preceded in death by James Schnebly (Husband) and her brother Len Young.
