ROGER DARNELL PLEASANT, 61, of Maumelle, Ark., departed this life on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. He was born September 17, 1960 in Pine Bluff, Ark., to the late Edmond and Hannah Mae Pleasant. Pleasant is preceded in death by his mother, Hannah Mae Pleasant; father, Edmond Pleasant; and brother, Emerson Pleasant. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Shirley Pleasant of Maumelle, Ark.; son, Rogerick Pleasant of Maumelle, Ark.; daughter, Naporsha Pleasant Valentine (Justin) of Atlanta, Ga.; Grandchildren, Justice, Nylah and Nolan Valentine of Atlanta, Ga.; Stepmother, Earma Pleasant of Little Rock, Ark.; sisters, Lynn Pleasant of Kansas City, Mo., and Lisa Williams of Dallas, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 8205 Hwy 161, North Little Rock, Ark. Visitation one hour prior to services.
