Robert Pearce Ellis

Robert Pearce Ellis, 93, of Star City, passed away Saturday, at St. Vincent North in North Little Rock. He was born May 26, 1929, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late James Owen and Cornelia Utley Ellis. He was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff and was the owner of Bob Ellis and Son Cotton Company in Pine Bluff. He was also preceded in death by a son, James Lester Ellis and a sister, Patricia Spivey. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Davis Ellis of Star City, a son, Robert P. Ellis Jr. (Pam) of Columbia, Tenn., a daughter, Cynthia Wallace (Bill) of Kansas City, Kan.,. and a daughter-in-law, Margaret Ellis of Florida. Other survivors include, four grandchildren, Shane Ellis (Melissa), Angela Conrad (Paul), Trey Ellis (Ann Marie), Jeffrey Wallace (Audrey) and nine great-grandchildren, and his good friend and neighbor, Joe Bumpass.
