Arnold Gene Jones

Arnold Gene Jones, age 92, of Perryville, Ark., passed away Monday, July 11, 2022. He was born April 24, 1930, in Granite, Okla., the son of Wilbert Jones and Pansy Winningham Jones. He was a retired truck driver and cattle farmer. Arnold was a member of Thornburg Baptist Church, Agri Co-op of Morrilton, Arkansas Cattle Association, and Woodman of the World. He loved his wife and all of his family dearly. He liked hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. He is survived by his wife of nearly 71 years, Mabel Grace Corder Jones of Perryville; children, Shirley (Curt) Floyd of Conway, Sandra (Bill) Duke of Wye Mountain, and Gary (Susan) Jones of Thornburg; grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Clay, Lindsey Floyd, Eric Floyd, Greg Floyd, Jennifer (Darrell) Shaddon, Sonia (Jimmy) Brown, Josh Duke, Kyle Duke, Taylor (Nicole) Garrett, Landon (Brittany) Jones, Aaron Jones, and Allison Jones; and 15 great-grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Jones and Wayne Jones; and his sister, Wanda Woods. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 15, at Thornburg Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Stover officiating. Burial will be at Thornburg Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
