George Dee Edwards, 86 of Fayetteville, Ark.,passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, in Mobile, Ala. He was born February 14, 1936, in Clarksville, Ark., to Dewey Haywood Edwards and Georgia Margaret (Gage) Edwards.
George was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retired banker, member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. George had a profound love for all things family and was never happier than when he was surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marilyn Edwards; one son, Jeff Edwards and wife Iretha of Joplin, Mo.; one daughter, Denise Davis and husband Gary of Fayetteville, Ark.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Dicks and husband Jason, Jessica Apperson and husband Casey, Kara Hays and husband Jeff; great-grandchildren, Braxton Apperson, Finley Apperson, Piper Apperson, Beckett Dicks, and Jaxxen Hays.
