Mary Ann Pierce, 72, of Pine Bluff, passed away at her home Friday, July 15, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 12, 1950, in Pine Bluff to L.T. Hankins Jr. and Edna Jo Strobel Hankins. Mary Ann spent her life in Pine Bluff and was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School. She worked as a cashier at Kroger, did office work at several different locations, and was a mill worker at International Paper. Mary Ann was a wonderful seamstress, and made her children a lot of clothes that they would need for different occasions. She enjoyed gardening, spending time at the casino and going to thrift stores and flea markets. Mary Ann was an excellent cook and she was known for her brownies. She even made a cookbook of her recipes for her family members. Mary Ann was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church, where she helped with Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and pretty much wherever help was needed. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and a granddaughter, Chelsea Dawn Heird. Survivors include her husband, David Pierce, whom she married July 12, 1968, in Pine Bluff; children, Terri Lynn Dees (Rick), Travis Pierce (Cindy), J.J. Pierce (Cathy) and Erika Heird (David); siblings, Wanda Ashcraft and David Hankins; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a multitude of other family members that loved her.
