Dorothy "Carol" Conrad

Dorothy "Carol" Conrad, 84, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away June 5, 2022, in Columbia, Mo., close to family. She was born January 8, 1938, in Akron, Ohio, to Worley Brown "Joe" and Phyllis Dale (Humphrey) Adams. Carol graduated Copley High School, Akron, Ohio, in 1956. On July 20, 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Owen Elmer Conrad. She was a full-time mother, helped with Owen's office work, and transcribed dictation for her sister's court reporting business. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, painting, gardening, and flowers. She and Owen loved their weekly lunches with close friends. They traveled all over the world and lived in various states. While living in Missouri, she enjoyed having a few cattle and working on their small farm, until they retired to Bella Vista, Ark. She volunteered at different times with putting together braille Bibles, and her favorite job of managing the card section at Helping Hands Inc. Thrift Store of Bentonville, Ark. She was a member of the Bella Vista Lutheran Church in Bella Vista, Ark. Carol is survived by her husband Owen until his passing on June 24, 2022; her son, Keith Conrad (Sheri) of Hallsville, Mo.; and granddaughter, Kelsey Henry (AJ) of Chesterfield, Mo., whom she talked to nearly every week; son, Christopher Conrad (Carol), and granddaughters Eliza, Lindsay, and Abagail of Manchester, N.H.; her sister, Margie Dazey (Bill) of Barberton, Ohio; and nieces Becky, Liz, and Laura; and numerous nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Olga (nee Zemlansky) Adams; sister, JoAnne Marone. There is no scheduled funeral service. Inurnment handled by Heartland Cremation of Columbia, Mo.
