John Layton Rushing, Jr.

John Layton Rushing, Jr., age 80, of Perryville, Ark., passed away Friday, July 22, 2022. He was born January 13, 1942 in Archibald, La., a son of the late John Layton Rushing, Sr. and the late Mable Jeanette Jones Rushing. He was a surveyor with AMI Engineering, Inc. for 30 years, and was an owner and operator of the Cloth and More fabric store for 10 years. Some of his other pastimes included, Little League baseball, Women softball, fishing, hunting, gardening, coin collecting and metal detecting. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Patsy Caldwell Rushing of Perryville; sister, Sally Mae Prestridge of Terry, Miss.; nine nieces and three nephews. Memorial services will be at a later date.
