Gary Eugene Littrell, born May 19, 1945, in Fairbury, Neb., to parents William and Mary Littrell, passed from this life on July 18, 2022, in Searcy, Ark. Gary's first job was as a paperboy, and then bussed tables at a steakhouse where his mother was the cook. They also worked together at Fairbury foods. Later he was employed by a roofing company and then Dempster Industries steel mill for 13 years making water pumps and plow discs. His favorite job, though, was the many years he traveled as a carnival worker. After his first wife, Rowena, passed away, he made his way to Arkansas and eventually met Dolores Arnold, and they married in 2011. They had many happy years before her passing in 2018. Gary's interests included watching the Arkansas Razorbacks football games on TV, league bowling, collecting anything with American Eagles, and old movies and music. He especially enjoyed Elvis Presley's music. Gary had been a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in his younger days. In addition to his parents, and wife, Gary was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Leroy, Harold, Florene, June, Eavon, Irene, and Phyllis. He is survived by his sister, Shirley; and his stepsons, Jesse, Michael, Matthew, and Joseph Arnold and their families. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; as well as sister-in-law Lea Kemper-Cash (Ricky); and brother-in-law Greg Kemper (Debbie). There will be a private family graveside service at a later date.
