Laveta Faye Adams, 97, of Jacksonville, passed away on July 25, in Van Buren, Ark. She was born on January 21, 1925, in Monett, Mo., to the late Frank and Susan (Hill) Caldwell. Faye was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville and the Upper Room Sunday school class. She had been a member of the Rebsamen/North Metro Hospital Auxiliary for 46 years. In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, CMSgt (Ret.) Cecil Lloyd Adams; son, John Lloyd Adams; and two sisters, Lois M. Rumfield and Mary Ladane Grant both of Killeen, Texas. She is survived by her two sons, Frank C. Adams of Counce, Tenn., and Joseph E. (Debra) Adams of Van Buren, Ark.; four grandchildren, Michael (Nikki) Adams of Springfield, Mo., Lori Adams of Van Buren, Ark., Alexandra Adams of Panama City, Fla., and Taylor (Adam) Lynch of Baldwin, Miss.; and one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Lynch. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2022, at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Kilbourne officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
