Jim Curtis, 83, from Mabelvale, Ark., passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022. Jim was born on July 11, 1939, to Troy Lee Curtis and Geneva Bowman Curtis. Jim was retired from medical sales and was an Army, Navy, and Marine Corp Veteran. Jim loved to be outside working in his yard with his wife, Melody. He enjoyed the beauty of Arkansas and the lakes. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gary Lee and Charles Dee; and half-siblings, Carolyn Sue, Robert, and Joyce Ann. Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Melody Ann Curtis; sons, Alan Troy Sr., James Gordon Sr.; and daughter, Geneva Stacy; eight grandchildren, Alan Troy Jr.(Jennifer B.) of Beebe, Lewis Ray (Jennifer) of Cabot, Cassandra Michelle Cole (Heath) of Alexander, James Gordon Jr. (Stacey) of Rogers, Christopher Conner (Tiffany) of Las Vegas, Nev., Maghan Briana Evans (David) of Lonoke, Elisabeth Ann Moore (Colin) of Little Rock and Justin Lee Curtis of Maumelle; 13 great-grandchildren and five step-great- grandchildren; sister, Norma Ruth Able (Roy); many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Geyer Springs Baptist Church for officiating the service. Visitation will be held at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Jim's online guestbook: www.smithfamilycares.com.
