Betty Ann Creath

Betty Ann Creath, 81, of Pine Bluff, Ark., passed away May 29, 2022, at CHI St. Vincent hospital. She was born June 3, 1940, to the late Aron Thompson and Olevia Jenkins Broomfield in Roston, Arkansas. Betty gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of the Greater Ward Chapel AME Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She served on both the Stewardess and Missionary Boards. She will be remembered for her distinguished joy of being a mother to many and being loving and kind to everyone around her. She worked with Arvin factories for many years. She was also a licensed cosmetologist until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Creath, daughter, Shirley "Kaye" Prince, step-daughter, Barbara Williams and great-granddaughter, Kyndall Kaye Stokes. Betty leaves to cherish her beautiful memories; her two sons, Norris Tillman of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Norman Tillman of White Hall, Arkansas. Her two daughters, Derona "Lynn" Rhodes of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Bianca Blackmon of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Corene Broomfield of McGehee, Arkansas, Barbara Lawson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Sandra (Carl) Kelley of Little Rock, Arkansas. Two brothers, John Broomfield and Presiding Elder Rev. Tyrone (Ina Kay) Broomfield both of Jacksonville, Arkansas. Two god-daughters, Felecia (Vincent) Patton of Arizona and Yolanda (Curtis) Standoak of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Family Hour will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 5-7 p.m., at Great Ward Chapel AME Church in Pine Bluff, AR. A funeral service will be held at Bethel AME Church, North Little Rock, AR., at 11 a.m., followed by Interment service at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pine Bluff, AR. Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, 101 Park Street, McGehee, AR. Please note: Guests and family must wear a mask throughout the services and follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing.
