Russell Vernon Wells, 65, passed away on June 16, 2022 at Conway Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.Vernon was born in Austin, Texas, on December 4, 1956, to Pete and Sissy Wells. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Judy Ann Perkins Wells of Clinton; his stepson, John Ohnmacht and his wife Joanna; grandchildren, Izabell and Triztan Ohnmacht, all of Russellville, his parents, Pete and Sissy Wells of Mountain Home; his brother, Doug and wife, Michele of Norfork; his sister, Kellie Wells Bomar; his nephew, Braxton Bomar of Little Rock, Ark.; and nieces, Shannon Golden, Stephanie Ouellette, and Brenna Detrolio. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Punch Joyner of West Helena. Vernon was the co-owner of Arkansas Mod Company, in Little Rock, Ark. He sold the business and retired to Flippin, Ark., in 2011. Following his retirement, he worked with home builders constructing custom cabinets and built-ins for homes in the area. A gifted and talented woodworker, he enjoyed making furniture and special gifts for his family and friends. Vernon was an avid fisherman and was happiest being in his workshop or on the White River fishing for trout with his brother. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
