Rebecca Sue Simpson

Rebecca Sue Simpson "Becky," age 66, of Sherwood, Ark., passed away April 29, 2022, at UAMS in Little Rock, Ark. Becky was born April 11, 1956. She grew up at her parent's home on Loop Road in Sherwood, Ark. She graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in 1974. Becky cared for Bill and LaNora Diederich in their home in Oak Grove for many years before their deaths. Becky enjoyed reading, gardening, being a homemaker and especially cooking and baking. She also enjoyed working at the Park Hill Christian Church Food Pantry. She loved her three cats, Pow Pow, Tinker, and Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Veta Simpson; and her brother, David Simpson. She is survived by her three sons, Chris (Kelly) Zintel, Harry Zintel, and Larry (Jennifer) Zintel and families. She is also survived by her two sisters, Jan Diederich (Joe) and Gay Missal (Bob); and two brothers, David (Janet) Little and Michael (Jennifer) Little and families. Becky has eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Bob Kelly was her life partner. Becky received her regular medical care at UAMS and we thank them for their years of service. We especially thank the UAMS Emergency room and Intensive Care Unit's doctors, nurses and teams for their valiant efforts in their care of Becky on April 29th. A visitation for family and friends for Rebecca will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Ark. 72117. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11 a.m., 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Ark. 72117. Rebecca will be laid to rest in Arkansas Memorial Gardens, 8507 Highway 161, North Little Rock, Ark. 72117.
