Kenneth James Freiley

Kenneth James Freiley, 80, of Conway, passed away April 30, 2022. He was born May 11, 1941, in Hermleigh, Texas, to the late John B. and Florence (Flippin) Freiley. Kenneth's education included graduating from Birdville High School in Richland Hills, Texas; receiving his BS at Sul Ross State University; and then his MS and PhD in Biology at Texas Tech University. He retired in 1983 from the U.S. Air Force after serving for 22 years as an Officer and C-130 pilot. He flew rescue missions during Vietnam in 1969-1970. Kenneth was awarded numerous awards including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a Professor at the University of Central Arkansas from 1988-2006 in the Department of Biology. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Don Freiley. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beverley Freiley, daughters, Melissa Freiley, of Conway, Meghan (David) Freiley Repp of Little Rock, grandchildren, Alexander Repp and Christopher Repp, and sister, Johnnie Fondren.
