Christine Poston Brown, 88, of Montrose, formerly of Ethel, passed away April 25, 2022. She was born June 28, 1933, in Ethel to William Henry Poston, Sr., and Leona Criswell Poston. Christine was a good cook, a great pastor's wife, and a sweet mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, Bro. Curtis Brown; an infant daughter, Annette Marie Brown; two brothers, W. H. "Dub" Poston, Jr., and Earl Poston; and two sisters, Ethel Jenkins and Lucy Smith.
Christine is survived by her children, Dale Brown (Barbara) of Monticello and Sandra Gwin (James) of Montrose; three grandchildren, James Curtis Gwin, Stephanie Hollis, and Christy Armbrust; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ida Berry of Abilene, Texas.
