Vernon Mitchell

Vernon Mitchell, age 64, of Farmington, died Monday, May 2, 2022, in Fayetteville. He was born February 4, 1958, in Annapolis, Maryland, the son of Louis and Mary Ritch Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Mitchell. Vernon graduated high school from Fayetteville High School and college at the University of Arkansas with a degree in Political Science and Government in 1982. His career included management of multiple food service industries and in early childhood education. He had a passion for people and was a hard worker. Vernon's hobbies included anything involving Razorback sports, fishing, music, grilling, and gardening. He is survived by his wife Brenda Mitchell and her daughters, Kaila Buck and Kelsey Buck; one daughter, Morgan Caldwell and husband Scott of Kansas City, Missouri; a son, Matthew Mitchell and wife Ashley of Austin, Texas; Julie Mitchell the mother of Morgan and Matthew; his mother, Mary Mitchell of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two sisters, Brenda Keeting and husband Michael of Greenland, Arkansas and Tina Wrobel and husband Allen of Springdale and three grandchildren, Addie, Carmella, and Elijah.
