Rosalyn Finkbeiner Jones

Rosalyn Finkbeiner Jones, age 86, of White Hall, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022. Born March 30, 1936, at Little Rock, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Finkbeiner and Gladys Louise Hudson Finkbeiner. She moved to Pine Bluff as a child, and had also lived in Huntington, Ind., and Defiance, Ohio. Returning to Pine Bluff in 1946, she later graduated from Pine Bluff High School. Mrs. Jones was an active on of the oldest members of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir, and served in the Esther Guild and the Altar Guild. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and gardening. Along with her husband and son, she was a co-owner of Jones, Jones, and Jones Tax and Bookkeeping Service in White Hall. She worked until earlier this year, when she retired due to ill health. In her own words, "I have been blessed to have had a wonderful life and family and friends to share along the journey". She and her husband traveled to all four corners of the United States. Always one for a new adventure, she went skydiving at the age of 76. She married J. P. Jones on February 6, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2012, after 58 years of marriage. A sister, Louise Navarre also predeceased her. Survivors include her children, Scott Alan Jones of Monticello, Cynthia Monteith of Fort Smith, Chris Jones (Julie) of Austin, Texas, Jay Jones of White Hall, Mark Jones (Beth) of Russellville, and Dean Jones of Jackson, Wyo.; her siblings, Joanne Taube of Sedalia, Mo., Carl Finkbeiner (Dorothy) of Harrison, Ark., Gladys Hawkins of Sarasota, Fla., and Frank Finkbeiner (Kathy) of Orlando, Fla.; eleven grandchildren, Laurel Stricklin (Beau), Jayson Jones (Scarlett), Bryant Monteith (Jenna), Matt Jones, Megan Terry (Arlington), Amanda Jones-Munden, Anna Jurls (Dustin), Douglas Jones, Hudson Jones (Annie), Tabor Jones, and Sam Jones; and great- grandchildren, Paris, Cole, Tucker, Sailor, Townes, Mollie, Natalie, Arlie, Evie, Berkley, Rylie, Gauge, and Jack. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 13, 2022, 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Stewart Marshall officiating. Arrangements are by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
