Betty Jean Sutton

Betty Jean Sutton, passed away in her home on December 25, 2020. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma, on August 15, 1931, but lived for almost 70 years in Rogers, where she was a music educator in the schools and in her private studio, teaching thousands of young people until her retirement at the age of 84. She was married for 60 years to Howard Sutton, who preceded her in death in 2013, and was also preceded in death by her son, Kevin in 1989. Her surviving son, Thomas and his family (Andi, Kyra and Leah) will have a pandemic-delayed memorial service for Betty at 4 p.m., on Friday, May 20, in the chapel of Central United Methodist Church, 2535 W. New Hope Rd., in Rogers. All who knew and loved Betty are invited to come and share in this celebration of her wonderful life.
