Nina Rose Thompson

Nine Rose Thompson transitioned to eternal rest on May 9, 2022, at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Owens, Sr., and Annie Bell Fuller; brothers, Prince Earl Owens, Leonard Owens, Jr., Ray Harvey Owens; sister, Willette Owens; and grandson, Deshuan Harris. She graduated from Pulaski County Training School in 1962. After 35 years, she retired from L'Oreal Maybelline in 2005 to be the caregiver for her mother, Annie. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Nina. She loved spending time with friends and family and found happiness in working in her flower gardens. She was a dedicated member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. Nina leaves to cherish her memory, the love of her life, her husband of 60 years, Richard Carl Thompson, Sr.; her four children: Donald Thompson, Sr., Michelle Nelson (Keithen), Richard Thompson, Jr. (Carla), and Ricanna Smith, all of Little Rock, Ark.; her siblings; Cynthia White, Linda Johnson (Stanley), Audrey Owens, Ralph Owens, Sr. (Lydia), Paul Owens, Brenda Johnson, Alice Love, and Elliott Owens, all of St. Louis, Mo., and Derrick Fuller, of Randolf, Mass.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A visitation is planned for Tuesday, May 17, from 10-11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at St. John Missionary Baptist Church at 2501 S. Main St., Little Rock, Ark. Masks are required and social spacing will be observed. Interment: Following the celebration of life at 1 p.m. at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland, North Little Rock, Ark. Premier Funeral Home, 1518 S Battery St., Little Rock, Ark.
