On Saturday, May 14, 2022, JACOB EDWARD "ED" ODLE, JR., 90, went to be with our Lord and Savior. He was born October 29, 1931 in Pulaski County to the late Jacob Edward, Sr. and Tommie Smith Odle. Ed retired from Little Rock Municipal Water Department with 44 years of service as Supervisor of Lakes. He was a member of Amboy Methodist and Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge. Traveling was a passion he enjoyed and was fortunate enough to visit all fifty states. Ed often joked, that he was a graduate of Scott University and never seemed to lose his sense of humor. He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Floy Mae Brown, Jeraldine Ballard, and Alene Griffin; his wife of 61 years, Ray Ellen Moon Odle; and a son, Jimmy Odle. Survivors include a very special friend and seven-year companion, Charlotte King; sister, Nancy Elliott Smith; three sons; Eddie (Susan), Tommy (Vicki), all of Little Rock, Ark., and Donnie (Kim) of Paron, Ark. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Jennifer Robinson, Heather Carter, Brian, Michelle, and Michael Odle, Angela Odle Moore, all of Little Rock, Jessica Remsing of Bryant, Austin Odle of Glen Rose, and Jordan Odle of Paron; twelve great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debbie Odle; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorials may be made to Amboy United Methodist Church, 311 E. Military Drive, NLR, Ark., 72118. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 N. Main St., NLR. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the funeral home with interment following at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 North, Alexander.
