Roberta Louise Fischer Uhiren, age 84, died peacefully at her home in Slovak, on the morning of May 15, 2022. She was born to Lawrence and Maisie Fischer on February 2, 1938, at home in DeWitt, Arkansas. She married Harry Uhiren on January 23, 1960, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Stuttgart and resided in Slovak the rest of her life. Roberta was a long time member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak where she was a Religious Education teacher, CYO sponsor, Altar Society member and a member of the Slovak Bakers. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harry; four children, Stephanie Leach (Terry), Jeffrey Uhiren (Shelia), Randall Uhiren (Jeanette Petrus), and Shelley VanHouten (Travis); seven grandchildren, Ashley Rye (Dustin), Clark VanHouten (Rachel), Keely Sparks (Tanner), Zachary Uhiren (Sabrina), Karlee Lipton (Hunter), Bailee Uhiren, and Chase VanHouten; great-grandchildren, Sophia Rye, Tesla VanHouten, Masie VanHouten, Ozzy Sparks, and Mila Rae VanHouten on the way; her brother, Jerry Fischer; sisters, Margaret Carver and Rosie Braswell. In addition, she was a mother figure to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Maisie Fischer; four brothers, Robert Lee (her twin), Carl, Bill and Kenny Fischer and one sister, Kathy Fortenberry. Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak followed by Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2022, at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church Cemetery in Slovak. Online obituary at: www.westbrookfuneralhomehazen.com
