Mrs. Carol Allums Sikes, age 78, a resident of Sherwood, Ark., died Monday, May 2, 2022, at Parkstone Place Retirement Center, North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born November 9, 1943, in Transylvania, La. Carol was a retired teacher and she enjoyed sewing, bridge, Neil Diamond, Arkansas Razorbacks, cruises and traveling. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Hazel Allums, husband, Don Sikes and son-in-law, Ken Brindley. Survived by her two children, Kevin Sikes and wife Tina Sikes of Little Rock, Arkansas, daughter, Melanie Sikes Brindley of Conway, Arkansas, and six grandchildren; four sisters, Shirley Patin of DeQueen, Patsy Spikes of Dallas, June Whittington of Savannah, Texas, and Judy Bingham of Texarkana, Texas, and six nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mrs. Sikes will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2022, in Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen, Arkansas, with Duane Spikes officiating.
