Johnnie Ray Oliver, 84, of Little Rock, Ark, peacefully transitioned home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He was born in Urbana, Ark., on December 6, 1937, to Cather Ree Oliver and Robert Lee Oliver.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife of 56 years, Evon; two sons, Jeffrey Lynn of Little Rock, Ark., and Corey Lynn of Conway, Ark.; three sisters, Sycrece Thomas (Levelle) of Little Rock, Ark., Delois Ross (Eddie Lee) of El Dorado, Ark., and Ella McMurrian (J.C.) of El Dorado, Ark.; two brothers, Raymond "Ted" Barnes of El Dorado, Ark., and Kenneth Barnes of Jacksonville, Ark.; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services have been entrusted to Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 372-1305. Walk-through visitation: Friday, May 20th, 12-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Masks are required. Homegoing service Saturday, May 21st, 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 908 S. Cross St, Little Rock, Ark. Interment Monday, May 23rd, 1 p.m., at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
