Ruby Jo Rollins

Ruby Jo (Walker) Rollins, age 92, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away on May 17, 2022. She was born in Fayetteville to the late Brad R. Walker and Grace Cain Walker. She was a retired executive secretary from the former First State Bank of Springdale. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, John W. (Bill) Rollins. Ruby Jo is survived by her children, Gail Dorman (Carl) and Gregg Rollins; and two brothers, Rex Walker (Joyce) of Joplin, Mo., and Russell Walker (Joy) of Neosho, Mo. She loved her five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She exhibited her wit, charm, grace, and undying love for her family throughout her life. Ruby Jo was the 3rd of 8 children and came from a lively, good-natured and fun-loving family. In particular, Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays with her family were full of laughter, great food, game playing and tales of time past. She fired ceramics in her kiln, wrote short stories, quilted, cooked and enjoyed life at home. Ruby Jo was a kind-hearted woman; a loving mother and wife who spoiled her grandchildren without complaint. She expressed to her children that she has lived a long life full of wonderful memories and was ready for the next step. Ruby Jo has requested a family-only graveside service.
