Charles Andrews Hagood

Fayetteville, AR, 1930 - 2022

Our beloved father, mentor, and friend, Charles Andrews Hagood, left this world bound for glory on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. He was carried by angels and ariels into the waiting arms of the love of his life, Nancy Reckmeyer Hagood, and his precious daughter, Stacy Ann Hagood. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lee Hagood and Marie Currie Smith.
Charles was a proud U.S. Marine serving his country during the Korean War. He loved his family fiercely. We remember all of the glorious sun kissed days spent camping, boating and water skiing on Lake Ouachita and Greers Ferry Lake during our childhood. After retirement, many more days of lake life ensued with family and friends on Lake Hamilton. Our family was small in number but enormous in love and warmth and fondest of memories. Words cannot adequately convey our gratitude for this wonderful husband, father, and friend.
Charles is survived by his two children, Karen Hagood Stuthard and Steven Matthew Hagood, his son-in-law, Tim Stuthard and his loving wife Sharon, his grandchildren, Meghan Shelby Stuthard, Michael Cody Stuthard and Andrew Stace Hagood, his precious and devoted sister, Sandra Noyes and her two daughters, Jennifer and Katherine, and his brother-in-law, Jerry
Cadrin and his three children, Tim, Katrina, and Stephanie. He left behind a wonderful family of friends from United Methodist Church in Franklin, Tenn. Charles and Nancy had many wonderful friends, past and present from their lives in Louisiana, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, and back home to Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Ark., or his favorite charity St Jude's Children's Research Hospital. His ashes will be laid to rest with his wife and daughter at a private family ceremony in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home of Fayetteville. Condolences:
