Janice Catherine Wyly, 60, of Cabot, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022. She was born July 20, 1961, in Lockney, Texas, to the late Porter and Ovella Avaritt Wyly. Janice was the personification of the word selfless. If there was ever a need, she would give without hesitation. She was a confidant, someone who was always there to listen and offer advice without judgement. When she loved you, she would do so without any reservations. Her love extended to her family and her many friends that she had cherished throughout her life. She was full of kindness and a light to all those who knew her. Her grandchildren were her heart and she loved them fiercely. To them she was known as "Grammy". From baking cookies together to delivering Easter baskets she would go out of her way to make them each feel special and loved. Not one holiday or birthday went by that she wasn't there to bring joy to their faces. Janice enjoyed a quiet life in the country raising a family and watching old westerns with her husband. She loved cooking and planning elaborate holiday celebrations with her family and friends. She had a fulfilling career as a medical management professional and accumulated many friends while doing so. While her battle was long and hard, she was determined to not let it diminish the woman she was. Her kindness never faltered, and her faith in Jesus never wavered. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert R. Halford; children, Abe Wyly, Alexander Wyly and Kristy Eagle; grandchildren, Aubrey Wyly, August Wyly and Titus Riley; siblings, Sharon Wyly, Travis Wyly and Randall Wyly; nieces, Madeline and Desiree Wyly; nephew, Joseph Wyly, as well as many extended family members and friends. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2022, at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
